Russell Wilson dials into the chat with Rich about the team’s big Wild Card Weekend win over the Washington Redskins. The rookie also talks about the Seahawks’ NFC Divisional Playoff Game on Sunday against Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons. After having a great chat with the rookie of the year candidate, Rich shifts gears and dials up Songwriters Hall of Famer Richie Sambora. The famed guitarist has co-written some of Bon Jovi’s greatest hits over the decades, has a new solo album Aftermath of the Lowdown (out now) and is also a huge fan of the NFL. The Perth Amboy, N.J., native discusses with Rich how he grew up watching Vince Lombardi and the Green Bay Packers dominate the first few Super Bowls, and talks about who he thinks will hoist the Lombardi trophy in New Orleans this February. The podcast wraps up with one of our favorite guests of all time — Redskins tight end Chris Cooley. Cooley had no intentions of being a guest on the podcast when he attempted to crank call our humble host last week. But unbeknown to Cooley, Rich, Law and Brockman were on to his game. Explaining Cooley’s story wouldn’t do it justice, so you’ll just have to listen to find out how the crank call went bad for Cooley, but good for the podcast and you, our loyal listener.
