Actor Josh Charles dials in to chat about his Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco’s monster contract he recently signed that made him the NFL’s highest paid player.

With conference championship weekend just days away, Rich dials up Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice to discuss Sunday’s AFC Championship Game rematch with the New England Patriots. Coming off a remarkable Mile High comeback, Rice explains how invested the Ravens are in getting to New Orleans and hoisting the Lombardi Trophy for their leader Ray Lewis’ final ride as an NFL player.
Up next, Rich chats with actor and Dallas Cowboys fan Nick Kroll. Kroll’s new sketch comedy show “The Kroll Show” premiered Wednesday on Comedy Central, but the comedian is no stranger to the world of football as he is also one of the stars of the fantasy football-inspired FX show, “The League.” Kroll and Rich hit on a variety of topics, including how a kid from New York grew up rooting for the Cowboys.
The show rounds out with writer and big-time New England Patriots fan Alec Sulkin joining Rich, Chris Law and Chris Brockman in studio. Sulkin and the guys start off discussing the bizarre story of Manti Te’o, the Notre Dame linebacker whose alleged… Read
The day after calling the Jets-Cardinals game in the Meadowlands, coach Brian Billick dials in (with what sounds like a Zach Morris cell phone) to chat with Rich about the benching of Mark Sanchez in New York and what it means for the franchise moving forward. Coach Billick also hits on a variety of other topics from Week 13, including his thoughts on how Romeo Crennel and the Chiefs handled and played in the wake of the Jovan Belcher murder-suicide tragedy. Coach and Rich finish up with a chat about the big matchup between the Bengals and Cowboys in Week 14, a game with major AFC and NFC playoff implications that the Super Bowl XXXV-winning coach will call for FOX on Sunday.
The podcast then shifts gears and welcomes back Alec Sulkin, executive producer and writer for “Family Guy.” The big-time New England Patriots fan… Read
Once again, we do our best to give you the best mix of the NFL and pop culture. With the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and one of the writers of the hit movie “Ted” on the same show, I daresay we’ve achieved that goal.
First up, the savior-in-waiting of the Washington Redskins, RG3 phones in to the show to give us an update on his contract status, his readiness to take the reins, his comfort in the Mike Shanahan offense, his preparation for the intense pressure on the horizon and, perhaps most importantly, how in the world did he wind up on the same “30 Rock” set as Kim Kardashian the night of the NFL draft and was he aware she was looking his way?
Lastly, Alec Sulkin joins us in studio. The long-time “Family Guy” writer, Twitter star and co-author of the bawdy hit film “Ted” also happens to be a diehard Patriots fan. I’m sure all of you who saw “Ted” would be shocked to know Sulkin is from Boston and has lived and died with the Pats his whole life. We hit on several backstories concerning “Ted” and had an overall fun conversation that fans of “Family Guy” and followers of Sulkin’s popular Twitter account — @thesulk — will truly enjoy. If you’ve not been exposed to his world and humor, you’re in for a ride.
Enjoy all! Read
