Ed Reed dials in for a chat with Rich, as his 2-0 Houston Texans head to Baltimore to face off against Reed’s former team, the 1-1 Ravens. Reed and Rich discuss the likelihood of the nine-time Pro Bowl safety suiting up for his Baltimore homecoming, and what it will be like for Ray Lewis to be inducted into the Baltimore Ravens’ Ring of Honor on Sunday. It’s a fun discussion with Reed, the #REP’s official Oscar correspondent, that ends with him making a bold prediction on where he plans to be prior to the 2014 Academy Awards (hint: The Super Bowl is in New York this year.)

Next up, Buffalo Bills quarterback EJ Manuel joins the show fresh off his game-winning touchdown drive with two seconds to go Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. The Bills’ rookie signal-caller picked up his first career victory and was nominated for the Pepsi Rookie of the Week, his second honor in as many weeks. Rich and Manuel discuss the Bills’ chances moving forward in the AFC East, and what advice he got from Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly when the two talked this year. Go to NFL.com/Rookies today to vote for EJ Manuel as the Pepsi Rookie of the Week.

With the 2012 NFL Playoffs about to get under way, Rich Eisen and the crew discuss the Wild Card Weekend of games set to kick off on Saturday and Sunday. There are lingering questions leading into each contest, such as: How will things play out when rookie QB meets rookie QB in our nation’s capital? Can Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings repeat their Week 17 effort and defeat the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau? Will Matt Schaub and the Texans silence the critics when Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals come to town? How will the emotions in Baltimore, with the news of Ray Lewis retiring and Chuck Pagano returning to coach against his former team, impact who comes out victorious? It’s the best time of the year in the NFL and Rich and the crew have you covered on all the playoff angles. The guys also take a trip down podcast memory-lane with one of the more hilarious stories ever told on the podcast. The story features Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne, Ravens S Ed Reed and an 8-foot Burmese python named “Law.” If you’re a long-time fan of the REP then you’re probably familiar with the story, and if you’re new to the show, sit back and enjoy as we replay the story in Reed and Wayne’s own words.

Rich then welcomes in Josh Charles, who, in addition to his Emmy-nominated role on “The Good Wife,” is the narrator of NFL Network’s critically acclaimed series “A Football Life.” A die-hard Baltimore sports fan, he shares his thoughts on the retirement news of Ray Lewis and how he thinks his Ravens will fare against the Colts this weekend. Charles is just one of the thousands of participants in The Rich Eisen Podcast’s Fantasy Playoff Challenge and announces his 1st Round Selections for all to… Read
