Rich Eisen Podcast: Joe Horrigan and Dax Shepard

The NFL preseason gets underway in just a few days in Canton, Ohio, when the New Orleans Saints and the Arizona Cardinals meet the day after six of the game’s all-time greats will be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We thought who better to talk about the weekend festivities and some of the behind-the-scenes happenings than Joe Horrigan, the vice president of communications and exhibits for the Hall of Fame.

After Joe, Rich welcomes actor Dax Shepard in for a visit to discuss his new film “Hit &; Run,” co-starring his wife, Kristen Bell, and Bradley Cooper. Shepard got his start as one of the original cast members of MTV’s “Punk’d,” and of the many stories he shares is one of how he punk’d one of the NFL’s best running backs a few years back.

(Patrick McElhenney / FX)

With July coming to a close and training camps in full swing, the podcast crew chats about some of the latest news and storylines from around the league. Topics range from 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh standing up to the media for first round draft pick, WR A.J. Jenkins, Rex Ryan proclaiming to be the league’s best defensive minded coach and much, much more. Since Rich was also on air Tuesday hosting NFL Network’s “Inside Training Camp” coverage for a better part of the day, we decided to pull two of the best interviews from the show, which include Sports Illustrated senior writer Peter King and Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne.

Up next is actor, producer, writer and director Mark Duplass, who most NFL fans know from the hit FX show based on Fantasy Football called “The League.” A pretty big NFL fan, Duplass has been able to work with some of the NFL’s biggest stars during their cameo appearance on his hit FX show.
