Super Bowl XLVII is in the rear view mirror, but there is no offseason in the National Football League. The 2013 NFL Scouting Combine begins later this week at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis where more than 300 of the best college football players will converge in an effort see their draft stock rise while trying to impress coaches, scouts and general managers from all 32 teams. So who better for Rich to first chat with than friend of the podcast, Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff. Dimitroff pulls back the curtain on what the week is like from a front office perspective and what the Falcons as an organization are trying to achieve throughout the week in Indianapolis to set them up for success at April’s NFL Draft.

Senior Sports Illustrated writer Peter King dials in to chat with Rich following one of the greatest weekends in NFL playoff history. The Hall of Fame sportswriter found himself in the enviable position of attending both the Falcons last minute comeback win over the Seahawks on Sunday and the Ravens thrilling double overtime win over Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on Saturday. King managed to spend time spent time with players from all four squads following the two contests and shares some of the insights he gathered in what was a spectacular weekend of NFL football.
